Food forestry training succeeds in South-East Kenya

We are thrilled to witness remarkable advancements in the syntropic food forestry training in Makueni County, located in the South-East of Kenya.

Following 4.5 years of serious drought, long-awaited rainfall has finally graced the area, rejuvenating hope and opportunities.

800 farmers are actively engaged in a blended training program, bolstered by the on-and offline Feedback to the Future app developed by SkillEd.

The training groups consist of 10 to 15 individuals, with each group led by an experienced farmer who has undergone specialized field sessions and is entrusted with overseeing subsequent activities.

Encouragingly, numerous farmers have already implemented sustainable approaches within their practices, yielding promising results.
