Project update from Circular Refugee Camps, Uganda

Good news from the project site in the district of Terego, Uganda: the construction of the bio-treatment plant has been completed and is ready for use. This is an important milestone in our journey to help local communities, including the Imvepi Refugee Settlement, become self-sufficient and better equipped to tackle climate change.

The Circular Refugee Camps (CRC) consortium (local communities working with SkillEd, Semilla Sanitation, Biogas Solutions Uganda Ltd and HS Green Energy Engineering Solutions Ltd, supported by Nijhuis Saur Industries) is taking a sustainable approach: converting waste into food, restoring ecosystems through tree planting initiatives, promoting resilient food systems and building a regenerative economy.
