BUCRA takes off: first training sessions begin
We are celebrating the BUCRA kick‑off of the blended training program in Qahbunah, Egypt, on Monday, 15 December. Around 80 participants, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, joined the event. In addition to an introduction to the BUCRA project and its partners, the program featured the first training sessions on soil management and agricultural analysis, crop management, nutrient use and management, as well as disease detection and protection.
BUCRA (Building Unity for Climate Resilient Agriculture) is a Dutch‑Egyptian collaboration launched in 2024 to strengthen farming resilience in Qahbunah, a farming community in the Nile Delta. Running until 2027, the project supports local farmers facing water scarcity, salinity, climate change, and land fragmentation. SkillEd, together with partners, develops and delivers several digital learning courses for this initiative.
