Global Education Coalition meeting in Paris

We joined partners from around the world in Paris this week for the UNESCO Global Education Coalition and Global Skills Academy meeting.

A few highlights from the day:

  • Ministers of education and 240+ partners gathered for the 6th GEC meeting. SkillEd has been part of the coalition since 2021, and it’s inspiring to see the continued commitment to inclusive digital transformation.
  • Strong networking and new collaboration opportunities – including promising next steps for Ukraine.
  • AI in education was a major theme. Sessions explored how learners can use AI to build employable skills and even create their own jobs.
  • The Global Skills Academy has now reached more than 2 million learners, with an ambition to scale to 10 million. We discussed concrete ways to get there, including SkillEd’s cascading blended training model.

The Global Education Coalition continues to be a vital platform where multilateral organisations, private partners, academia, and networks align expertise and innovation to ensure that digital education benefits all learners — while staying within the planet’s ecological boundaries.

We’re proud to contribute to this shared mission and look forward to deepening our collaborations in the months ahead.
