International Day of Education

Today is the International Day of Education – UNESCO’s yearly reminder that learning has the power to change everything. And honestly, the world needs that power more than ever. Right now, 250 million children and youth are out of school, and 763 million adults can’t read or write.

This year’s theme, “The power of youth in co‑creating education”, puts the spotlight exactly where it belongs. With more than half of the world’s population under 30, young people are not just future – they are essential today. Their ideas, creativity and lived experience are crucial for shaping learning that actually fits a fast‑changing world.

At SkillEd, we love this energy. Practical, participatory learning is what we’re all about – and when youth help shape it, the results are smarter, stronger and far more meaningful.
