Text-to-speech feature
We have a bird. And it talks.

Have you seen the latest SkillEd feature? Our new text-to-speech function makes learning even more accessible – whether you’re multitasking, learning on the go, visually impaired, or prefer listening to reading.
Here’s how it works: When your browser and device support text-to-speech and the course language, a friendly little bird appears. Click it to hear transcripts, flashcards, and even multiple-choice questions read aloud. It also lets you know when audio is playing or paused.
If the voice sounds off, the course might be set to the wrong language (like an English voice reading French text — très confusing).
And when the course is not found? The bird shows up again, this time with question marks and an explanation. (We think that’s way cuter than a blank page or normal error message.)
We’re constantly adding new features to make SkillEd more inclusive, hands-free, and fun.
