Scaling up in Ghana

Africa VeggieTap, developed by East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer (EWS-KT) and powered by SkillEd, is growing – and so is its impact. The mobile learning app is already supporting farmers in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Sudan, with expansion into French- and Portuguese-speaking countries on the horizon.

And in Ghana, a new chapter begins: Over the next four years, EWS-KT will train 39,520 additional smallholder farmers, including thousands of cocoa farmers diversifying into vegetable production. With continued support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Accra, three new learning farms are being established in Duayaw Nkwanta, Accra, and the northern region – building on the success of phase one, which reached 7,733 farmers.

We’re honored to be part of this transformation – helping make vegetable farming more profitable, resilient, and accessible across Africa.
