Ethar Yousif’s startup Ahkdur addresses the problem of post-harvest losses in Sudan.
Ethar, who is a physicist and environmentalist, developed and promotes locally manufactured solar drying units which can preserve surplus production fruits and vegetables by transforming them into shelf-stable dry products like dried banana or mango.
Ahkdur works together with small and mid-size farmers, equipping them with the drying units and market access service.
Ahkdur and SkillEd are currently planning a joined project in Sudan.
