New project in Benin

Pineapples from Benin are known to be especially sweet, juicy and flavourful. And with our new project, we aim to make the value chain just as sweet.

By introducing agroforestry elements into organic pineapple production, we’re helping farmers improve soil health, diversify their fields and increase their income – while strengthening the quality of juice that reaches European markets.

It’s a collaboration between SkillEd, Tradin Organic, EcoTop, Jus Delice and Rehab (local producer organization), funded by the Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO) with support from the Dutch Embassy in Benin.

The project will support 1,500 smallholder farmers, with the long‑term ambition to scale these methods to other producer groups and regions.
