UNHCR
The UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), also known as the UN Refugee Agency, is a UN organization responsible for protecting and supporting refugees, forcibly displaced people, stateless persons, and asylum‑seekers. It provides emergency assistance, defends their rights, and works toward long‑term solutions such as voluntary return, local integration, or resettlement. The agency was founded in 1950 and operates worldwide.
SkillEd and the UNHCR collaborate within the framework of the Circular Refugee Camp Project in Uganda.
