Powering Healthcare in Uganda

SkillEd is proud to support a groundbreaking biogas innovation that’s transforming healthcare in Uganda.

Together with Biogas Solutions Uganda Limited (BSUL), Nijhuis Saur Industries, HS GREEN ENERGY UGANDA and Inclusive Energy, we’re helping remote health centers in refugee and host communities keep life-saving medical equipment running – even when the grid goes down.

BSUL is pioneering purified biogas systems that power lighting, vaccine refrigerators, autoclaves and more. We are powering the training behind the tech – through a custom-built online/offline app that equips healthcare staff and technicians to operate and maintain these systems with confidence.

This project, supported by the Powering Healthcare Innovation Fund and UK Aid Direct, is already making a difference in three health centres serving over 60,000 people.
