SALTA Meeting

Looking back on a fruitful meeting: On Wednesday, March 12, a dynamic group of 18 education and training professionals met for the “SALTA Thematafel Educatie & Training”. This interesting and interactive event focused on the critical issue of salinization and its impact on freshwater management.

The central theme revolved around how we can make knowledge about salinization accessible to students, professionals and entrepreneurs.

Pieter Oosterhof (Franeker Academy), Desiree den Os (Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen) and Jouke Heringa (HZ University of Applied Sciences) reported on how this important topic is integrated into various courses. Bas Bruning (The Salt Doctors) shared his knowledge about the scientific and practical side of salinization, while we from SkillEd presented innovative educational methods.
